Movies

Rock My Heart: After an adventurous teenager with a heart defect bonds with an unruly stallion, she trains to compete as an amateur jockey in a life-threatening race.

Spirit: This animated movie follows the adventures of a wild and rambunctious mustang stallion as he journeys through the untamed American frontier. Encountering man for the first time, Spirit defies being broken, even as he develops a remarkable friendship with a young Lakota brave. The courageous young stallion also finds love with a beautiful paint mare named Rain on his way to becoming one of the greatest unsung heroes of the Old West.

Documentaries

Fearless: Though it doesn’t directly involve horses, fans of rodeo and bull riding will enjoy this documentary which follows a group of professional bull riders on their journey from Brazil to the Las Vegas Championships to earn money, respect, and titles.

Fishtail: The Fishtail Basin Ranch in Montana is a free-range cattle ranch and a large supplier of beef to such gourmet groceries stores as Whole Foods. This documentary chronicles the lives of the cattle and ranchers during calving season.
